The extremely talented Pop/R&B Soul singer “Karlotta” is the latest addition to the Banner Records label roster. She was presented to John Anthony, President/CEO at the label from a previously well known recording artist.
Karlotta,as a young girl used to sit in any room in the house that was quiet because she had four siblings who took up space making it difficult to find that quiet space. In that quiet space, she learned the lyrics to many popular songs. She then would record her voice in order to keep track of those songs learned and to remember every detail of each song recorded to perfection.
Sometimes, she would let her Mom listen to her recordings. The only response that she would receive from her was a little smile. Unfortunately, there were no words of encouragement or support. Karlotta, then moved to Detroit, Michigan and finished high school there. She graduated from St. Martin DePorres High School and was very proud of that accomplishment. Because she had not yet accomplished a singing career she decided that furthering her education would be the best course of action, so she enrolled at The Detroit Business Institute where she received a Certificate as a Certified Executive Assistant. She began working for the “National Bank of Detroit” shortly after graduating.
While in Detroit she began to meet people who were working tirelessly to further their career in the music industry. As her name was circulating around as a very gifted singer soon thereafter, she began getting calls for R&B gigs, private parties and clubs. She continued to work these gigs weekends and evenings and started getting many more calls to perform. She finally began meeting professional people who were in the music industry. She continued working the music scene and the timing was just right as she met Mr. John Anthony,President of Banner Records. She devoted her time and worked solely with Mr. Anthony many months and hours in the studio recording her first group of singles. They are “Put Your Money on Me,” “Diamond Girl,” “The River’ and “I Don’t Care” Her Debut single is now being released worldwide titled “Diamond Girl” August 1 st 2025 written by well known writers “Bryan Steele” and “Harry Maes” A killer R&B dance number with a interesting lyrical twist and a catchy melody. Certainly a song that will stick in your mind.
